About The Artwork:

The aim of this artwork was to create a peaceful scenery by combining the design of the religious gates of Japan known as “Torii” that are found at the entrances of Shinto shrines with the gate of the UN World Heritage Site; Pashupatinath Temple. The very essence of this artwork is to capture the feeling of “Inner Peace” or “Nirvana” which has been engraved into the artwork in both Japanese and Nepalese Languages; “涅槃” and “निर्वाण” respectively.
